Keith
M. Burger, RPA-C, is board certified
by the National Commission on Certification
of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and has achieved
special recognition in Surgery. In addition,
he is licensed and registered with the State
of New York.
Keith is the Chief Physician
Assistant in Suffolk County for Neurological
Surgery, P.C. (NSPC) with privileges at Good
Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, Huntington
Hospital and St. Catherine of Siena Medical
Center.
Mr. Burger received his undergraduate
degree in Psychology from the State University
of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook in 1994 and
later graduated magna cum laude from the Physician
Assistant Program at New York Institute of Technology
(NYIT) in 2002. While at NYIT, he was inducted
as a member of the Nu Ypsilon Tau Honor Society
and achieved the Presidential Honor List.
His professional career as
an Allied Healthcare Provider initially involved
work in Advanced Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine
before it later evolved to Neurosurgery. Relevant
neurosurgical experience was obtained at the
Nassau University Medical Center, Nassau County’s
busiest Level I trauma center, primarily under
the guidance of Dr. Donald S. Krieff. He served
there as the Chief Physician Assistant for the
Division of Neurosurgery for approximately 4
years prior to joining NSPC.
